Prior to forming ProSplice and subsequent to assisting Mike with Lightec…Chris was North East Regional Maintenance Manager for G4S. His responsibilities there included maintenance of all Transport Cables/Regen Stations/MAC Work/Fiber Cut Restorations/Hot Ring Cuts/Rolling Traffic on Hot Fibers on the entire NYSTA System.
He was also responsible for Installation/Maintenance/MAC work for the fivecolleges.net 53 mile loop connecting UMass/ Amherst/ Hampshire/ Mt Holyoke/ Smith Colleges.
He is intimately aware of the issues to be encountered “In the Field” and was consistently a problem solver and job closeout specialist.
He has solid working relationships with Executives and Field Technicians with Rogers Telecom, Level 3, Century Link, Peg Bandwidth, Windstream, to name a few.
Maintains a strong relationship with MASS DOT, NYS DOT with their Intelligent Transportation Systems installation and maintenance.
While at G4s he was also tasked with the replacement of 500 miles of degraded cable on the NYSTA system….which he accomplished in 18 months and was required to facilitate the Sale of ADESTA to G4s. This included all Travel Plazas/State Police sites/Rest Areas and EZPASS System.
Also responsible for mobilizing crews to assist in closing out the MBI (Mass Broadband Initiative $40M Project) which facilitated Fiber Connectivity to 1100 Government Sites within the State. Was involved from first walkthrough to final acceptance of the MASS DOT DWDM project to connect 9 sites within their network.
Above and beyond…because of his experience and familiarity with the systems…was also asked to assist in Design, Brokering Fiber Sales, Card Replacements, etc.
